What’s Happening Winter 2018/2019…

As of January 19th, 2019, we have decided to close our store front.  It was a decision that was not easy but the best one for our family.  We are taking the time to enjoy our family while we figure out what our new beginning will be.  When figure that out, we’ll be sure to update you here and on social media.  Thank you for all of your love and support!

It’s the holiday season and we’re offering our pies and pie bites again for Thanksgiving. Along with the DIY Gingerbread Classes and “To-Go” kits and cookie trays and tins for the December season.  To order pies or pie bites for Thanksgiving or cookie trays or tins for December, email us at rachel@rachelssugarshop.com

What’s Happened Winter 2017…

This year we offered our DIY Gingerbread Classes and for those who couldn’t make it to the classes, we offered DIY Gingerbread Kits “To-Go”.  It was a huge success.  Fresh made gingerbread houses with fool proof frosting, assorted candy, and directions on how to create the most adorable gingerbread scene.  All the fun without the hassle.

What’s Happened Fall 2017…

Pie bites, pie bites, and more pie bites.  They were the go to dessert for Thanksgiving.  Why have a sliver when you can have just a bite?

We had our busiest graduation and wedding season yet.  We’ve enjoyed being a part of everyone’s amazing occasions.  Here are a few pictures of our favorites.

What’s Happened Spring 2017…

We celebrated our 2 Sweet Years of Being in Business on April 8th with an open house.  Thanks to the success of the article in the ProJo about us, we had a lot of new faces join us.  We’re looking forward to an exciting 3rd year of being in business.

What’s Happened Winter 2016…

We were ready for Superbowl LI (51) & another Patriots win by baking lots of fun Pat’s themed desserts.  We also offered different Valentine’s treats for you to shower your sweetheart with like Conversation Cookies & Chocolate Chip Cookie Pops.  They were so yummy.

What’s Happened Holidays 2016…

It was a very successful season of DIY Gingerbread Classes & lots of holidays desserts.  From Mug Toppers, Pies, Cookie Trays, & Specialty Desserts, we were busy little elves.  It was the most successful year yet for “The Holiday Baking Team”.

What’s Happened Fall 2016…

DESSERTS FOR TICKLED PINK FOR THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW…

We’re Tickled Pink to be doing the desserts again, this year for Women & Infant’s 13th Annual Tickled Pink Fundraiser to benefit their Breast Health Center. We were there on Friday, October 28th at Rhodes on The Pawtuxet at 5:30.  We hosted a table where guests purchased some of our delicious treats to take home.  We were proud to donate back 20% of the proceeds from that evening as well as our day’s sales to Women & Infants/Tickled Pink.  The event was sold out and was so much fun!

What’s Happened Summer 2016…

We have lots of events planned and are booking up for weeks over the summer so don’t wait to contact us for your event.  401-943-0870.  We will be taking some time off to enjoy the family this summer.  We will be closed July 3rd to July 11th and then again from August 7th to August 21st.

On Sunday, December 6th & 13th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Now booking, DIY Gingerbread Classes. Preregistering/payment is necessary to ensure a spot.

DRINK & DECORATE…

Rachel’s Sugar Shop is proud to be partnering with A Wish Come True in an upcoming “Drink and Decorate” event. This unique cupcake decorating event will be held on September 10th from 6 – 9 Pm at Iron Works Tavern in Warwick. Donating her time and talent, professional baker, Rachel Marchetti will teach you frosting and fondant techniques as you decorate 4 cupcakes to take home with you. Proceeds from the event will help SPONSOR local wish child, Emily’s WISH to visit and bake with Buddy Velastro, host of the “Cake Boss” series on TLC. You can meet Emily while she helps demonstrate the decorating techniques at the event. Marchetti has a degree in Culinary Arts and Pastry from Johnson & Wales and is the owner of Rachel’s Sugar Shop in Cranston, RI. Seating is limited so don’t wait.
